An incredible museum to visit...the Dead Sea scrolls as well as the art installations and the mini Jerusalem exhibit are a must

This hour long tour was exceptionally well presented giving a clear understanding of the meaning of the works of this activist artist who comments on social and political issues in a most unusual way. Not only is the museum a must but this exhibition is not to be missed.

Spent hours walking through a terrific collection of items showing prehistoric times through biblical historic times. The artifacts are amazing in their detail.

The Israel Museum in its present form dates from 1965. The Museum is one of the world's great repositories of culture, dating from when civlisation began in the Middle East. The Jews are known for their love of culture and learning, so it should come s no surpise that this great institution has continued to thrive. The Museum houses the Shrine of the Book, which hosts the Dead Sea scrolls. These scriptures are over 2,000 years old. Plan to spend a day at the Museum, it will be worth it.
