Amazing work in exhibits.

A hand made model to scale of old jerusalem was part of the museum. The building had a hugh sprinkler on it to make it look like a fountain. Strange but cool.

While the excellent replica of the city of Jerusalem during Jesus' time and the Dead Sea scroll exhibit are fantastic, allow time to spend in the rest of the museum. So many well done exhibits and art.

This is a must see. I liked the model of the City of Jerusalem, but we spent a longer time there than we needed to. Our guide was a very passionate lecturer but would often speak too long for everyone's comfort unfortunately. Most often, we would need to move on sooner than he did. But, overall, a guide is very important to fully appreciate everything here. My favorite part, just fascinating, was the area where the dead sea scrolls are kept. I loved how dramatic it is in there, it really adds to the experience, the lighting, etc. No pictures allowed inside there, disappointing as always for a photography lover, but I do understand...Lots of things to look at throughout, you do need time, but again, if you only have a little time, do go at least for whatever time you can spend. Make sure you see the scrolls area.
