Join a unique concert experience with the Jerusalem Symphonic Orchestra

This season will consist of over 40 concerts of various concepts and genres, including classical, vocal, cantorial concerts, along with popular shows with guest performances of renowned artists from all around the world. Additionally, the orchestra hosts series of concerts, including “Fridays with Astrith Baltsan” and “Pleased to meet you”, a series of concerts for the whole family, and much more. You wouldn’t want to miss this phenomenal musical experience! The current director of the orchestra is maestro Steven Sloane, and the main concert hall of the orchestra is the Henry Crown Hall in Jerusalem Theater, located in the heart of the city among the most prominent tourists attractions. 

The orchestra often stars in numerous prestigious events and competitions, including the “Piano Festival” initiated by the Jerusalem Theater, live performances of original soundtracks of legendary films as part of the International Film Festival organized by the Cinematheque, Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition, Young Artist Competition and more. Jerusalem Symphonic Orchestra often acts as Israel’s ambassador, being invited to tour all around the world and has performed in the most prestigious halls, including the Carnegie Hall in New York, the Vienna Music Choir, the Cologne Philharmonic Hall, and in the main concert halls in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt and Lucerne.

Amongst the notable renowned musicians who were guests of the Orchestra since its inception, we may see Igor Stravinsky, Arthur Rubinstein, Yehudi Menuhin, Igor Markovich, Mstislav Rostropovich, Pablo Kazals, Henrik Schering, Isaac Stern, Radu Lupo, Christa Ludwig, Martha Jurwitz, Martha, Pierre Bulles, Nabil Mariner, Jean-Pierre Rampel, Jose Carras, Tabia Zimmerman, and Yifim Bronfman. The orchestra was conducted throughout the years by the following prominent conductors: Otto Klemperer, Michael Taube, Georg Singer, Otto Klemperer, Heinz Freudenthal, Yuri Aharonovich, Shalom Ronli-Riklis, Mandy Roden, Igor Markovich, Lawrence Foster, Yoav Comisi, Serge Lucas Foss, Gary Bartini and David Shalon.

  • The concerts are held in accordance with the “Tav Yarok” in the Henry Crown Hall at the Jerusalem Theater.
