You must get reservations for a language-specific tour. Our tour ran about an hour and 15 minutes. You wear a headset and are lead about by a docent, learning about Begin's childhood, his imprisonment by the Russians, his dedication to the Irgun, and his love of fellow Jews. His accomplishments are now hailed as transformative, but some of us remember the blame he got for blowing up Saddam Hussein's nuclear reactor and for the massacre at the Sabra and Shatila camps perpetrated by Lebanese Christians. He was a giant and you should not miss this museum. (may his memory be for a blessing).

Menachem Begin was a pivotal part of the history of Israel. He was in prison in Russian during WW II, came to Israel, fought against the British, loved Israel deeply and whether Prime Minister or in the Opposition, always displayed his love for Israel. This museum is fascinating, has a great library, good lectures from time to time and should be visited by all.

It's an exciting journey through a great leader's life. Not your regular museum, rather an experience.
