  City Center
  Downtown Jerusalem is the heart of the modern metropolis, with nightlife, dining and culture to rival any major city.   Old City
  The Old City of Jerusalem has been a center of culture, religion and history for thousands of years, from the time of the Judean kings and the Roman era through the times of the Islamic Empire to the modern State of Israel. Every brick and stone is teeming with history. No trip to the Middle East is complete without wandering through alleys of the bazaar, walking the ramparts and exploring the Old City’s rich history at the Western Wall, Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Temple Mount (Al-Aqsa) or Tower of David Museum.
  
  NEAR OLD CITY
  Not far from the Old City, you can find some of Jerusalem’s most vibrant entertainment and shopping centers. Mamilla Mall is just a few steps from Jaffa Gate and counts as one of the most luxurious shopping centers in the city, replete with high-end shops, Mamilla Hotel’s Akasha Spa and a collection of restaurants with amazing views. And if you follow Hebron Road, you’ll find the First Station cultural complex and the Yes Planet movie theater and entertainment center.

Popular with a slightly older crowd, Tuvia offers a good selection of drinks and beers on tap, light food and live local sports matches. Tuvia is decorated with works of art by local artists and has an unpretentious, welcoming atmosphere.

If you're looking for a cool, fun and accessible pub - this is the place. The staff is like family if you're regular here (and there so many regulars), and in general very pleasant and easy going. The food is quite good, don't miss the fresh chicken salad.

Kind of this places that you feel welcome the moment you get in. Tuvya is placed in Shushan st , which is kind of developing this days, so if you like to dance a bit after you drink, you can jump to the HaMazkeka just across.

This place can be a little hard to find but worth it, it is down a side street off the main Jaffo street. The music, atmosphere is great, very relaxed with delicious bar food. I had 2 pita sandwiches(only 30 shekels vs. the typical high prices in the area), one corn beef and one with asian veges, both delicious which I washed down with the excellent local Shapiro beer. This is the place to just chill out with friends, enjoy the music, drinks and some comfort food.
