A surprising small museum that has created a window into the past history of Italian Jewish Life and Art...The museum contains carefully chosen Jewish Art objects that illuminate past.history including antique tapestries, ritual silver, illuminated manuscripts and the painted interior walls of a Succor In addition to the museum the building contains a lovely reconstructed Italian synagogue which is currently in use. Our delightful guide Raoul made our experience even more meaningful by his enthusiastic and thoughtful explanations of the contents and restoration work of artifacts happening in this amazing building.

This is a little jewel in the heart of Jerusalem. It has a bit of everything. My family and I were mesmerized by the small trick on how to open an ancient safe. You should ask to the guardian about it, it is worth! It is an ancient puzzle and still working. See how long it will take to you to solve it. We all enjoyed our tour immensely, and so did our teenagers. It is a great place for the family.

This a small five room museum that can be seen in a short visit, with some fine examples of Italian Jewish art for the synagogue, and memorabilia of Jewish Italian life including some ornately decorated marriage contracts and some passes for Jews to leave the Ancona Ghetto. But its highlight is a near perfectly preserved synagogue from the Veneto area of Italy that was transported to Jerusalem in the 1950s. It shows you what a synagogue was like in a small Italian town, ca. the 19th century. Moreover, it is still in use as a synagogue.
