Must see if in Jerusalem

An important part of a visit to Israel no matter your faith. Well set up to take you through the history of persecution and the Holocaust. Difficult at times to see how evil men can be to others. Never again should be in everyone’s thoughts for any people as we still have horrors such...

An important part of a visit to Israel no matter your faith. Well set up to take you through the history of persecution and the Holocaust. Difficult at times to see how evil men can be to others. Never again should be in everyone’s thoughts for any people as we still have horrors such as this continuing today. There are also uplifting moments. The children’s memorial is unusual and beautiful

Magnificent Museum
TripAdvisor RatingReviewed 1 day ago

This museum is a definite ‘must see’ when in Jerusalem. The curators captured the complete history of Jewish persecution in the 20th century. Full of insightful artifacts and personal statements by holocaust survivors. A very moving & eye-opening site to visit!!

Before my recent visit, I had not been to Yad Vashem for nearly 20 years. The Children’s Museum is the same - and incredibly moving. The rest of the museum is completely updated with all kinds of very informative and moving multi-media exhibits as well as a very well curated set of photos and objects from the Holocaust. If you are visiting Israel, you really should visit this museum. The whole museum is extremely well thought out - from The architecture to the exhibits. You will leave profoundly shaken, but in a way that developers deep empathy and understanding. I can’t recommend it highly enough. The restaurant is also good.
