During the tour we will visit the alleys of Nachlaot and weave together the stories of Jerusalem's Sephardic families, from Gaon to Navon, with their Selichot customs.
We will get to know the Ashkenazi Haredi courtyards of Nachlaot, expressed through the figure of Ruchel, and their Selichot customs, and of course, how can we go without synagogues, noble families, cursed houses, old-time Spanish courtyards, forgotten Jerusalem loves, underground figures, kabbalists, a famous Sephardic orchard, piyyutim and songs in Hebrew and Ladino, and even a shofar blast...
Join us for an unconventional Selichot experience in the picturesque alleys!
Important to know: This is an independent tour born out of great love for stories, Ladino culture, and the alleys of Jerusalem. The tour is inspired by and in the spiri of the book "Beauty Queen of Jerusalem," but it is not connected to or endorsed by the creators of the book or the series. We are here to experience the real history behind the plot!
