During the tour we will pass through the Haredi courtyards of the city center and get to know the remarkably diverse world of the Haredi community, with all its streams and customs, together with the Sukkot holiday traditions of the different Haredi communities in Jerusalem. We will learn what the difference is between a wooden sukkah and a cloth sukkah, how to choose the Four Species and how to take them, what the obligation of the sukkah commandment is, what the sukkah means in Hasidism, why a streimel is worn on Sukkot, and more special Sukkot customs of the Jerusalemite Haredi communities.
We will combine all of this with stories of the various Haredi streams in Jerusalem, touching on their special customs, and to wrap up we will even take the Four Species ourselves... You are invited to join Dudi Bar Sela for an unconventional Sukkot experience!
