Opening of the Winter Exhibitons at the Israel Museum

The Israel Museum, Jerusalem, opens its Winter Exhibitions 2026 with a public evening event featuring five new exhibitions across the museum. Guests are invited to join the opening programme and then explore the exhibitions independently.

Opening event itinerary

  • 7:00 pm – Reception in the upper entrance hall
  • 7:30 pm – Greetings
  • 7:45 pm – A musical work composed by Romi Kopelman and Alon Renzer, inspired by Danziger’s sculpture “Nimrod”
  • 8:15–9:30 pm – Independent viewing of the exhibitions

  • Fact, Faith, and Fantasy: Maps of the Holy Land from the Chinn Collection – Curator: Ariel Tishby
  • A Creative Type: The Graphic Work of Pesach Ir-Shay – Curator: Rami Tareef
  • Oasis: Noguchi’s Art Garden in Jerusalem – Curator: Sivan Eran-Levian
  • Yudith Levin: Break of Dawn – Curator: Amitai Mendelsohn

    Incredible archeology and modern art collections and, of course, one of a kind Jewish artifacts collection including the Dead Sea Scrolls. Easily enough here for 2 visits.
