The New Gate of the Old City was opened to provide easier access for Christians to their holy sites. We will hear the story of the gate and the buildings in its vicinity, and from there we will visit some sites in the Christian Quarter, continuing to the Moslem Quarter while visiting some of the stations along the Via Dolorosa. We will make a special detour to admire the magnificence of the Damascus Gate.
