Get familiar with Mount of Olives in a meaningful and inspiring afternoon!

This mountain is a holy monument for all three major religions. The Christians see it as a place where Jesus wept for the city. It is also a notable stop on the path leading from Jerusalem to Bethany. The Jews honor it as an ancient place of burial, dating thousands of years and the spot of numerous rituals. According to the Muslim tradition, the Mount will be one of the anchors for a bridge with seven arches that will spread from the mountain and to the Dome of the Rock and will be the way the resurrected souls will cross, while the righteous will take the route to heaven. The evil ones will slip from the bridge and descend to hell.

• The tour will start at the Damascus Gate (we’ll get there by bus). Afterward, we’ll travel on foot in the Old City and get to know the ancient alleys and sacred monuments.
• Our next stop will be the most ancient Jewish cemetery in the world, dating 3000 years back. It includes 70,000-300,000 tombs from all stages of history.
• We’ll visit the Gardens of Gethsemane, where Jesus and his disciples prayed before the crucifixion, according to the New Testament.
• We won’t miss the opportunity to visit The Church of all Nations is build upon the rock on which Jesus prayed while the disciples prayed for him, and the Tomb of Mary.
• This area also houses the Dominus Flevit Church, built over the rock on which Jesus mourned the fate of Jerusalem.
• On the way back to Damascus Gate, we’ll visit some of the main Stations of the Cross located on Via Dolorosa.
