Turkish Coffee: Following the Ottomans

Overview: The Ottoman Empire ruled the Land of Israel and Jerusalem for many centuries, up until the end of the First World War. The Ottomans left their mark all around the city, additionally to the most magnificent monument – the massive wall surrounding the whole of Jerusalem. This tour will uncover some of the immense power possessed by the Ottoman Empire. We’ll start at Djemal Pasha Park (now known as Daniel Garden) and will continue beyond the city walls. Important notes:
  • Please arrive 10 minutes before the tour starts
  • The tour takes about three hours
  • The exact meeting point will be delivered strictly by mail upon booking confirmation. Hence it’s essential to enter a valid email address during the order process. If you haven’t received the confirmation mail, please check your spam box. If you still haven’t got the meeting location information, please fill the form below.
  • The tour won’t take time during Shabbat.
  • Please show up in modest clothing, comfortable shoes.
  • Certified guides lead the tour. It will take place in any weather, except for the snow.
  • The trip is excellent for families – for children who like traveling and interested in history.
Notes:
  • Tickets available for purchasing online only (by pressing the suitable link).
  • Please purchase not later than 5 PM on the day before the tour.
  • The tickets are personal – non-transferable or resalable.
  • Children below the age of 6 do not require a ticket.
  • Strollers: the tour is suitable for families with babies and toddlers.
  • The tour will take off with a minimum of 8 participants. If the trip canceled due to an insufficient amount of guests, the payment would be refunded completely, and a notice of cancellation will be sent via email no later than 24 hours before the tour.
  • The route or content of the tour is subjected to change.
  • Cancellation is accepted no later than 14 days before the tour and can’t be canceled seven business days before the date. In case of cancellation, 0.75 ILS will be charged. In any case of cancellation within seven business days before the tour – no refund will be offered. In case the tour is canceled due to snowy weather – a full refund will be given.
