Shivtei Yisrael Street Tour - 2018

Shivtei Yisrael Street Tour - 2018

A seemingly unimportant side street is strewn with buildings from around Europe. It tells the stories of the great superpowers of the 19th century, and their integration into western Jerusalem. Hear the story of the Notre Dame of Zion, a Russian hostel that became a jail and today is used as a museum, buildings that blend into Safra Square (Jerusalem’s municipality square) and about Beit Mahanaim’s amazing story. Learn about the Italian hospital, monastery and guesthouse  - one of the most beautiful and interesting buildings of Jerusalem and the Roman church that hides behind tall trees, sitting almost inside the neighborhood of Meah Shearim.

One street, many stories.

Route: Along Shivtei Yisrael Street.
