One of the world’s leading and fastest growing Jewish media organizations, The Times of Israel has launched a new English-language cultural initiative in Jerusalem.
Beginning February 14 with “The City” hip hopera, The Times of Israel will be interviewing the country’s top personalities live on stage and presenting the best of Israeli theatre and cinema available in English.

Matti Friedman and Haim Watzman
Matti Friedman, a Jerusalem writer, is the author of two non-fiction books: The Aleppo Codex, about the rescue and theft of a priceless Jewish manuscript, and Pumpkin Flowers about his service in the IDF in Lebanon.
Haim Watzman lives in Jerusalem and has written the non-fiction Company C about serving in the IDF and A Crack in the Earth documenting a hike from Eilat to the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley. His latest book Necessary Stories is a collection of his much-loved short stories from the Jerusalem Report.
