This museum built in 2010 is a lovely quiet spot. The permanent exhibit displays some of the vast work of Israeli artist Moshe Castel born in Jerusalem in 1909. One can see his evolution as an artist. There are also temporary exhibits which, at this time displayed works of students and living Israeli artists, all quite beautiful. There is nice gift shop where one can purchase lithographs and more. There is a modest entrance fee, well worth it. Great views from the road in Maale Adumim. Have a bite to eat after, at the adjacent Waffle Bar.

The Moshe Castel Museum in Ma'ale Adumim houses a significant collection of work by one of Israel's foremost artists, Moshe Castel. The building itself is both aesthetic and functional, and the works of art on display provide a thorough sampling of the many styles Castel adopted throughout his long life. Our was an organized group visit and we engaged a guide to give us more information about the artist and his life than simply provided in the museum. Adjacent to the museum is a small cafe. The museum charges a modest entrance fee. The gift shop has a nice selection of prints and books on sale.
