יד אבשלום הוא מונומנט מדהים שנמצא בנחל קדרון. אין חניה צמודה לאתר אבל עדיין שווה את ההליכה. יש מידע נוסף במרכז מידע של הר הזיתים

You can’t miss it if on foot from Mt Olives to City of David

The entry to the Valley of the Kidron has a nice kiosk with good wifi and free maps. Your first stop in this valley is Absalom’s Tomb.... interesting history. No-one around and great for photos! From here take the stairs to City of David/ or The Dung Gate

Interesting history

Not really a tomb and more of a monument. Nothing to go out of your way to see, but if you're in the Mount of Olives or enjoy looking at monumental structures, then definitely take a look.

If you're at the foot of the Mount of Olives

Tomb of Absalom. Actually not a tomb, just a large monument with a staircase in it and a cave next to it. All explanatory signage available. Not really a spot to visit in it's own rights but worth popping along if you are in the area.

Impressice historical tombs/ monuments a couple of minutes walk from the old city

The whole valley - and specifically the old tombs and monuments - is a central piece in the history of old Jerusalem, from the times of king David onward. The monuments are impressive, and the location is right across the street from the Church of All Nations/ Gethsemane and a couple of minutes walk from the lion's gate/ via dolorosa or from the western wall, with views of the temple mount. An interesting place, especially if you have a good guide (live one or even a book)
