Alma Restaurant is a small, intimate restaurant downtown, offering a warm and welcoming Israeli experience. The cuisine is half Israeli/ Arab and half international with light modern touches. The restaurant offers a rich bar, cocktails and a Jerusalem wine menu composed of bottles from local wineries.

The atmosphere is mild and you can sit for hours without getting the uncomfortable sensation of wanting out. Among the recommended dishes are the sinie eggplant, a roasted baladi eggplant stuffed with spiced lamb meat and served on tehina; the fish falafel, fried and served on home-baked laffa-bread with sour tehina; the beef kebabs served on a masabacha of white beans and tehina; and the slow-cooked veal in root vegetables and local spices. Alma manages to overcome the limitations that come with being kosher, and offers a wide variety of good value courses made very well.

Food was a bit less than average, we set at a terribly dirty table and it was cleaned on us. It took a long time for the dish (wrong dish) to get to us. More expensive than it's really should be worth...

Great food, great service. Great spot to watch the world go by while escaping the heat too! The shashukra was top notch and went very well with the local beer. Highly recommend!

The Hamusta Kubbeh that this spot cannot be beat. Favorite Kubbeh in Jerusalem and perfect for a cold day.

Very average food with a very pushy staff. Some of the waiters here are very pushy and spent a lot of time trying to upswell us the special and the more expensive alcohol. We had made our choice but they kept insisting....

The waiters are really nice and funny but a little bit slow. The food is good but quite expensive (at least the lamb stew). There seem to be varying special offers at night time!
