This restaurant is small. It is located in the Bazaar area of Old Jerusalem in a pedestrian only area. The tables are located outside in the walkway that people use to walk through the area. The staff was eager to get us seated and to get food out to the table. It felt a little chaotic with people walking past and the action between the employees. If you want to be in the center of what is happening, this is the place. If you want a calm and quiet meal...it isn't. The restaurant served local Middle Eastern cuisine. The restaurant had a large poster board with pictures of the different entrees for those that weren't familiar with the dishes. We ordered a variety of items. The meal was OK, nothing outstanding but also nothing that I wouldn't eat.

Stopped after touring old city. Worst falafel I’ve had in Israel (or back in Canada). To their credit, fresh squeezed OJ was good. Still, don’t waste your money

We stopped in during our walk back from the Western Wall to the Jaffa Gate and the owner told us he had been here for 30 years. Not pushy or begging, but very welcoming & inviting. We had the beef kabob ( grilled & lightly seasoned ground beef) that came with French Fries, cucumber, lettuce & tomato salad, a cabbage salad and delicious seasoned & grilled onions & tomatoes (75 Shekels or $21). My wife enjoyed the falafel (deep fried & seasoned chickpeas or garbanzo bean balls) with fresh hummus, pita bread, French fries and cabbage and tomato & cucumber salad (60 Shekels or $17) and we each had a diet coke and bottle of water for a total of $60 US. Highly recommended!
