Yes- that’s the translation of the rhyming name. We arrived here as a group and our goal was to hike in the adjacent forest and hills, so we did not sample the restaurant, which has no kosher certificate or supervision anyway. The place is a very popular and known place- a very common meeting place (that’s how we used it). You can read other reviews for comments on the food. I can write however that yesterday, Friday afternoon, the place was incredibly crowded, the line to order and purchase was long, and people were scattered over the grassy areas to eat. Since we were hurrying to get on the trail, I didn’t even take photos of the crowded (not socially distanced at all) line for ordering and collecting food But I do have some photos of the information booth, with brochures describing the many outstanding hiking trails that start from there. “I visited this place” yesterday.

Amazing view less suitable for a hot day

The place is located in the Judean mountains, close to Jerusalem, in a rural landscape overlooking fields and vineyards, pastoral and quiet. Due to the limitations of the corona, the food is ordered by a sophisticated vending machine and is delicious and definitely of a high standard. The main problem is that it is an open place and on a hot day there is no air conditioning, even the fans they brought do not provide a solution so it is not recommended to arrive on a hot day.

The view is nice, no service, no pizza left!

The view is nice, nice trail and benches nearby, outdoor dining. Self service, self ordering/paying on a machine and plastic plates during the pandemic is understandable but there was no service. The view is nice, nice trail and benches nearby, outdoor dining. Self service, self ordering/paying on a machine and plastic plates during the pandemic is understandable but there was no service. The table wasn’t cleaned. We came for their stone oven baked pizzas. The computerized menu listed only pineapple pizza available at 5pm, 2 hours before closing. The waiter confirmed, ONLY pineapple pizza! The water in the cooler was warm on a hot day, no ice was available. We had two stuffed bread pastries which were more bread than filling and a soft drink, 100 shekels! 🙄 I won’t be going again, only for the view and a takeout coffee.
