We had 3 grandnieces and grandnephews and were looking for a good pizza place. We found it at Bardak. It looks like a hole in the wall with tables appropriate to a pizza joint. The service was sparse, but adequate. They made the pizza to order as far as the toppings were concerned (the kids did not like the combinations on the menu). The pizza arrived timely and hot. It is a thin crust pizza, flavourful and very good. The 7 year old boy ate an entire small pizza (that was not too small but medium sized). This is the best pizza that I have had in Jerusalem and it ranks high on the pizza scale. In addition, the bathrooms were clean. Also, the price was reasonable. I only gave it 4 stars because of the ambience. The pizza itself rates 5 stars. Take-out is available.

When we are in the mood for a casual and fun dinner in Jerusalem, my husband and I always think of Bardak first and make a point of eating there at least once each visit. The selection of pizzas is enormous, as is the assortment of beer, many on tap, with extensive descriptions of each. A family member is lactose and gluten intolerant and says she had an easy time ordering and a delicious meal. Service is friendly and although it is mostly a young crowd, we felt totally comfortable.
