Our pilgrimage group had lunch here after our Via Dolorosa. So this' probably our most satisfying meal. This is a big place and we're the only customers that time.

BIG DISAPPOINTMENT - BAD SERVICE AND LESS THAN ORDINARY FOOD

We as a part of the group by our tour organiser ( pre- reserved on the 20th Feb 2020) . We headed to this place for the lunch. In spite of advaced booking for the lunch ( prearranged menu too) they were totally un prepared .. had standard cold pita bread starters on the table ... and it seemed to end there. Had to wait for another 30 minutes for the chicken to arrive, after a while the soup by then we lost the appetite completly. By the end of an hour of staggered arrivals of the dishes... we were fed up with the extremely poor quality service and equally poor quality of food. This is certainly a no-no place for me. This was the only place where we were utterly disappointed during all the days in our holy land trip time . https://www.tripadvisor.in/ShowUserReviews-g293983-d1778287-r750378018-Bulghourji-Jerusalem_Jerusalem_District.html#

Built into the historic Old City Walls of Jerusalem, this restaurant within the Armenian Quarter was quite a discovery! Truly authentic location lent itself to an enchanting dining experience. We were greeted and served by the friendly owner, who shared with us that his restaurant is frequented by tour companies for luncheons. Several interior stone rooms with high arched ceilings and limestone floors provide more intimate dining, while a rear exterior courtyard offers ample group seating. Festive "twinkle" lights added to the charming ambience. We dined on delicious Steak Diane and departed fully satiated and satisfied. A very enjoyable dining experience!
