This stylish place with inside & outside seating was really buzzing when we stopped here for Sahlav and cake. Both were very good, but quite pricey.

Cafe Kadosh was opened in Jerusalem in 1967 by Meir Kadosh, who has since passed the business on to his son, Itzik, and Itzik’s wife, Keren, who currently run both the regular kitchen and the pastry kitchen upstairs. The cafe is designed in a neat, classic European style that makes for a decidedly old-school atmosphere, and, as Keren says, is a “warm, crowded, homey place.”
When it comes to the food, Kadosh offers a kosher dairy menu that includes a variety of fresh pasta dishes, fresh and smoked fish, quiches, lasagnas, salads, sandwiches, baked goods and desserts.
What really sets the place apart is that everything is made in-house, from the pasta to the bread to the pastries. Cafe Kadosh was voted number one in an article on JPost Online “Top 5 Coziest Coffee Shops.”

This is a good and interesting restaurant that has Italian entrees and French desserts.. Thought it was a bit pricey; e.g. $7 for a croissant. Service was good and friendly.
First of all, of course the food good. But... If you have children, go some place else. The location and seating is not conducive for families. They are famous for their french styled pastries. Which is problematic because you choose from your waiter. And if your waiter is busy. Then you got a problem. Its better...
