In the middle of the Mamilla mall, we were able to get a table easily on a busy Thursday night. It was chilly, so they had the heaters on the outdoor tables, which made it very comfortable. We told our server that we were on the way to a show, and she made sure to bring our (delicious) meals quickly. Very satisfied.

Great Breakfast and staff
TripAdvisor RatingReviewed on January 7, 2018

The staff was very helpful and the typical Israeli breakfast as filling and delicious. Little bits of everything to try and the freshest tasty break. And it was included with our stay at the 21st Floor Hotel. We will be back for dinner.

AWFUL SERVICE!!

My husband and I stopped in at Cafe Rimon on our way to Old City. We were promptly sat which was a pleasant surprise as it appeared to be really busy. We sat, and sat, and sat, and sat until finally after about 15-20 minutes of waiting we flagged down a waitress to take our order. She made eye contact nodded her head then walked away. About 5-7 minutes later we flag her down again and looks around as if she was looking for our server but proceeded to take our order anyway. Their menu has a pasta section that specifies all pastas can be made w spelt flour or with gluten free pasta! Great we thought, I’m gluten free and was thrilled about being able to get GF pasta. We were going to order the truffle tortellini but then we’re told , “it wasn’t gluten free “ wait a minute I asked, “but your menu says right here all pasta dishes can be made with gluten free”, “ no she says you can get gluten free pasta and pick your sauce”. That didn’t make sense because of what the menu specifically said. Anyway, I said “ fine we’ll order your gluten free pasta but can we get the ingredients in this dish”? It was olive oil, broccoli, basil, chili flakes, tomatoes, and a few other ingredients. She wasn’t sure she could but would check. We ordered that and their lentil soup. 15 minutes later she brings the soup, 20 minutes later she Show shows up with the pasta. But wait a minute, there’s no broccoli in this dish and there’s a cream sauce I didn’t remember being in the ingredients of what we ordered. I took a bite and not only was the pasta cold, it had ZERO flavor. This dish was supposed to be spicy w Garlic, and Basil. It was hard, cold, flavorless pasta. We called the waitress back as we were going to send the dish back. I was not gonna pay yet again for another meal that was bad. The service and food has been hit or miss on our first trip to Israel. She didn’t want to send the dish back but did. 10 minutes go by. At this point I’ve lost my patience, I’m starving (my husband and I shared the soup), and pregnant. I needed food like 40 minutes ago. My husband went to cancel the order, as another waitress showed up with the exact dish only hot. We said no thanks, paid for the soup and left. First of all it shouldn’t have taken that long to be served in the first place, and second get your menu straight. Either the waitress didn’t know the menu, or the way they worded it is misleading. Either way we def won’t be back. Boo!

We had dinner twice at this restaurant on our recent trip to Israel, once on the dairy side and once on the meat side. Personally I found the dairy side better. I enjoyed the food more and the service was better. The sweet potato salad was excellent as well as the pasta dishes. It has a really nice atmosphere and is centrally located. On the meat side I had a steak roll (philly steak roll) which I found very rich. The service was slow and it appeared that they were short of staff that night as all waiters were working really hard. I have eaten at Cafe Rimon on a previous trip at both Mamilla and Ben Yehuda. I would recommend both restaurants.

I keep returning to this place because it is consistently amazing! Save room for dessert! The pasta is plentiful and their selection of pizzas are super.
