We met for lunch on a hot day and ate outside, sans masks. The umbrellas and nature provided a shady and cooler environment. The view of the lake, trees and the water lilies were magical. Only something you will find at the Botanical Gardens!! From the time we were greeted at the entrance till the paid bill was presented, the service was courteous and attentive. The wait staff responded promptly without distracting from the experience, they kept busy serving without trying to be cute, or entertain etc. When the sun shifted, they immediately found a pleasant shaded area for all. There was clearly an emphasis on ensuring a pleasant dining experience for all. The tables were well spaces so that even the rest of the lunch crowd didnt impede on our experience. The area was well-kept and clean, the tableware was spotless, the washroom area was kept reasonable and the decor was classy . The food was served at the same time, fresh, interesting, prepared perfectly and deeeelicious down to the last morsal. The aromas from our neighboring diners dishes were also enticing. We ordered the summer specials which came in a fresh fluffy and soft pita, the choice of side dips were perfect., one cool white techina and one spicy red arisa complemented each other harmoniously. Both the mushroom medly and the salmon were enjoyed.. The portions were just right. They served iced coffees that were a real treat. People were photographing their food, taking selfies with the gardens in the background and wanted momentos of the day. I have been here many times as the concept of the restaurant in the gardens is a solid one, the location is convenient, parking is plentiful and free. However this is the first time that the food and service matched the serene and exquisite surroundings. We will be coming back.

We came for lunch on a nice Friday afternoon, however, our experience in the restaurant was not a good one. The service was slow- we literally had to get up to get the waiter come to the table. We were four guests. Three of us received the food more or less on time but the fourth guest received his order when the others were done eating (and that’s after we had to look for the waiter). Food was just OK. The manager apologized and promised to take the order off the bill but it wasn’t done. So again, we had to call the waiter...

Since the family didnt meet for one year altogether in presence of our old mother , We decided to celebrate the end of the corona period at the Caffit botanical garden restaurant in Jerusalem on this passover holiday . We made a reservation for a 7 people table . Although We knew that at passover there are food limitations , We were shocked by the service We got : 1) The plates , the spoons , the knives , the forks and glasses were in very cheap plastic as in a very cheap picnic 2) As We made the food orders indicated in the menu , the waiter told us that on most of the order it was unavaible . 3) The coffee and hot chocolade We order were cold and brought in a carton glasses . 4) The 2 portions of blackberry cheese cake we received were brought frozen and in a plastic cup . At the end We got a 790 NIS bill for something we didnt get . It was a traumatic experience and a very expensive one .
