About Focaccia Moshava
Charming with a touch of hipness, Focaccia Moshava (aka The Kosher Focaccia) is one of the best and most popular restaurants on Emek Refaim Street.
The Menu
Much like its non-kosher counterpart in the city center, Focaccia Moshava has a menu based on the Italian kitchen with a variety of other Middle Eastern, Mediterranean and continental dishes to round it out so that there is something for every taste.
Try some of these signature dishes:
- Beef carpaccio — tender, thin slices of top-notch raw beef drizzled for taste to perfection with olive oil and balsamic vinegar
- Veal ragu with fettuccine — thin strips of veal cooked in a succulent sauce of tomatoes and herbs
- Veal sweetbread and entrecote skewers on top of grilled portobello mushrooms
- Ram’s mixed grill — liver, hearts grilled with pieces of chicken and sirloin drizzled with a light coating of tehina
- The fresh-baked focaccia breads with a variety of topping choices
- The juicy, cooked-to-order Focaccia burger with goose breast and avocado
- Fish kebabs with a spicy salsa and lemon tehina with ciabatta bread
On top of the food, Focaccia offers a variety of quality wines at quite reasonable prices, as well as signature cocktails from the bar.
On weekdays from noon to 5 pm, you can take advantage of Focaccia’s awesome business lunch deal of an appetizer, main course and dessert at a fixed price starting at 69 NIS — far and away one of the best deals in town.
And stop by on Friday afternoons to check out the Focaccia Moshava market, which features a huge spread of salads, spreads, meat and fish dishes, desserts and more that you can buy by weight and take home for Shabbat meals.
Events at Focaccia Moshava
The dining space is as delightful as the menu, with indoor, outdoor and bar seating options, comfortable chairs, high ceilings and plenty of room.
It can accommodate events of up to 150 people, including bar/bat mitzvahs, birthdays, corporate events and intimate celebrations, and the chef offers special fixed menus with your dishes served in a communal style in the center of the tables.

MoreIn February we promised to be back! And I always try to keep my promises...Pleasure to see lots of people enjoying their food. They must have read my original write-up :) This time (we were 4 people) and were a little disappointed with the food. The so called Roast Beef Salad had unfortunately never seen Roast Beef! Not every piece of meat can be classified as such. Certainly not the "soup meat" used which was impossible to chew :( The waitress in charge named EDEN (like the Garden of....) immediately accepted our complaint (we had 2 portions) and offered us a free dish for compensation and free desserts! Very impressive and definitely the reason that we will be back again one happy day - Stay tuned!
LessFocaccia is a busy, busy place. Mist days they have events as well, which further limit seating space. But if you do manage it, they have a nice business lunch (entrée, main course and dessert) for 69 shekel. It could probably be enough for two. I particularly like their chopped liver...
