Eat lunch like a local!
TripAdvisor RatingReviewed on November 13, 2022

Stumbled on this restaurant near the Machaneh Yehuda market at lunch time. We think we were the only tourists there. Friendly and gracious service. We enjoyed two roasted eggplant appetizers and then the kubbeh hamusta soup - a Jewish Kurdis soup with meat dumplings. All was terrific!

Service in Israeli restaurants is notoriously bad; at Ima it was exceptionally awful. Multiple servers seemed to be on the first day on the job. Perhaps they were? The 2nd course was brought while we were eating the appetizers. We were placed near the noisy kitchen in a mostly empty restaurant as a staff member made a racket as he dropped clean silverware into bins. He did stop when asked. No one however was nasty or aggressive; rather, they are simply clueless. nnThe food was lousy to OK. The vegetarian tomato based soup seemed out of a can. I’m unsure why I ate it. The chicken breast was edible. The vegetable platter was notably unattractive but edible. nnThe 4+ rating is a mystery. I will remember not to return.

Good Chicken & Hummus

Very tasty and doog Chicken Breast. The garlic Olives and the Hummus was also recommendable. Definately a place where we could stop by again.
