I read so much about this craze, so I decided to try it out. Have just returned. First the place was completely full at 2pm, but thinned out rapidly. I ordered Acharuli khachapuri as this was their main attraction. It is a boat shaped dough, flattened out in the centre and filled with cheese, topped with an egg. All this in the oven. It comes out piping hot. I asked for a knife and got an explanation how to tackle this dish: With a fork you scrape around the soft inner part of the dough dish. After it's finished, you eat the "bowl" itself. Very tasty. I had a small plate with a hot spicy dip. Excellent. I then ordered spinach and beetroot Pkhali. These are small minced greens pattys, usually eaten as appetizers. Truthfully they were quite tasteless to my palate, but my main course made the meal worthwhile. I guess I'll be back.

Khachapuri bread with cheese and egg is amazing. Hard to finish because it's super rich but delicious! Definitely a must-try restaurant in Jerusalem.

Who ever knew there was Jewish Georgian Food?

We had no idea. Our fabulous tour guide took us to this restaurant. Incredibly delicious. The egg dish we had was over the top delicious. We kept dreaming of it the rest of our time in Israel. Please eat here. It is really good and tasty.

Great bread / cheese treats and beer on tap

There is not a tremendous variety, just basically different ways of eating bread and cheese with a few additions of potatoes/spinach/egg. Overall really fun time.

Extremely pleasant cozy restaurant that specializes in the Georgian pastry called "hachapuri". The cheese one is the definite best. Its sort of like a flat buttery calzone. The crust/dough is very light and flavorful, with the cheese filling delicate and not overwhelming. Despite the potential heaviness, it is surprisingly light and very, very good....

I would recommend splitting one amongst everyone, leaving room to try other kinds, or for trying other delicacies in the surrounding eateries.
