We wanted to try this new restaurant in a lovely location. The place is pleasant, the staff was helpful and friendly but not overly efficient. Starters were excellent but from then on it was down hill. Seems that the chef is still trying to decide what type of cuisine he is looking for and experimenting a little too much. We might come back in a few months to give the place another chance.

Restaurant ״Kinor Bakikar" is located in the Music Square in Jerusalem downtown. A beautiful new complex that encompasses several restaurants with a center stage where concerts are held. Four adults went out for dinner at this relatively new restaurant. The restaurant is on the pricey end, but every item ordered was delicious. The meal started with complimentary laffa bread and assorted small dips. We had the chickpea and white beans with veal ragout appetizer, pate de of gras with chicken liver (absolute melt in your mouth) and onion soup as starters. Each one was excellent. For mains we had skewers of chicken thigh and breast of duck with vegetable sides (extra charge) as well as Veal entrecôte (300 grams which we split for 2 people). For dessert we had a platter of mini pastries which were mouth watering. All I can say is that everyone thought the meal was Yum!

First of, we chose this place because they have white tablecloths. There is a huge courtyard, but we sat inside, where the ambience is a bit more sophisticated but still relaxed. Huge bar choice. Menu not huge, but some interesting dishes. The food was all excellent. We were served by a chap who appeared to be the manager, and who was helpful and attentive without being obsequious or intrusive (a real gem). Not cheap, but well within range for this type of establishment (which makes it very good value). From the crystal cut drinking glasses, to the refreshingly wide space between tables, the place just feels "nice". We will return.
