This place is seriously so fun and so so yum! I believe its one of Ottolenghi's favourite Jerusalem restaurants and the night we were there Steve Tyler from Aerosmith was there too so its clearly one of the hottest Jerusalem restaurants at the moment! I believe this means its super hard to get a table and you need to do it weeks in advance online but my friend booked so I am not sure. We had a crazy night there and I highly recommended the feed me option on the menu so the delicious food keeps coming. There is a lot of banging tables and noisy going on so don't go for a quite night out. These guys know the true meaning of hospitality. Trays of watermelon and vodka shots delivered to our group of 8 on arrival arrival and they really took care of us all night. I'd drive from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem just to eat here if you an get in. In fact... I'd almost fly from Australia. HAA! A very cool night out.

This is not only the best foodie scene in town, but the hippest place as well. We were able to finagle a reservation at 8:30 on a Sunday night. The place was packed and the maitre d' was turning people away in droves. The music was loud and the staff was lively. Four of us had the tasting menu that began with an incredible beet salad and the plates just kept coming. Beautifully prepared fish dishes followed by meat of various cuts, including beef tongue that I swore I would never eat. I ate all mine and my wife's, it was that good. Did I mention it just kept coming!! Our waiter would explain all the dishes with Israeli accent, in perfect detail , and end his description with an emphatic "Oh My Gott" to express the greatness in which we were about to indulge. Perfectly Israeli. After an incredible Mason jar of creamy mushroom, asparagus polenta deliciousness, a meat platter arrived at the table with medium rare steak, lamb, grilled cauliflower, bone marrow, and sparklers. Yes SPARKLERS like the 4th of July. It was a spectacle for sure. It was also some of the best meat I have ever eaten. Our waiter offered another fish or meat platter. I asked if he was serious and he said he was. We respectfully declined his generous offer and opted for dessert. Oh my Gott it was sooo good. If you are looking for great food and a lively dining experience then this is the place in Jerusalem. If you don't like loud music, clapping, dancing (i.e. FUN) then this is not for you.
