Terrible customer service
TripAdvisor RatingReviewed on September 12, 2017

The friendly greeting at the door was a hoax. From there on in it was dismal. Too bad, they have some good food. This was strike three (we are forgiving types, went back even though we had bad service before). Won't go back.

Meaty Mediterranean Fare

One of my favorite restaurants in Jerusalem, Medita satisfies on every visit. Good service, good food, and a pleasant environment -- even the music is relatively quiet (by Jerusalem standards). For a group of four, I recommend starting with the "foccaccia" -- actually a very tasty, overblown fresh-out-of-the-oven pita, the perfect foil for the selection of dips that come with it. First course of polenta with bits of mushroom and smoked duck breast might have been better without the silan sauce mixed in (apparently the chef has a sweet tooth), but the smoked meat was an unusual, marvelous treat for a Jerusalemite. Even on a hot summer's night, the assado in a sweet sauce was irresistible. Here the sweetness perfectly balanced the well-cooked meat, and there was so much of it that my companion and I shared it happily -- after which we could barely look at the luscious--sounding dessert menu, much less order anything from it. Our veggie friend was delighted with her pasta main course, and her husband finished off every scrap of his duck-meat "burger" with relish (literally and otherwise), while all of us dug into the big portion of excellent chips (French fries) that accompanied it, along with delicious home-made ketchup. Medita is justifiably popular with locals, so advance reservations are advisable. Underground parking available, just get the ticket validated in the restaurant and be prepared to pay a little extra if you stay more than 2 hours.

We were there with a large group of 37 travelers and the menu had been arranged by our tour. We started our with a very large selection of appetizers on the table that were frequently replenished. All were delicious and fresh. Most of us thought that this was the main course until they brought out more food! The meat and chicken were also delicious except most of us were too full from the appetizers/salads to really do the main courses justice. The service was excellent. Our water and wine glasses were never empty. Would definitely go here again when I am in Jerusalem again.

Phenomenal tasting menu meal with fabulous service

We were a party of 6 and ordered the tasting menu. The food was fabulous and extremely well presented. It is a bit off of the beaten path in Jerusalem, but it is well worth seeking out this hidden gem for a delicious meal with excellent service.

Surprise delight

A group of five of us went to Madita because it was close to where we were staying. What a pleasant surprise. The food was delicious - asada, both types of chicken and the kabobs. Each with an unusual, interesting flavor. The service was perfect - attentive, informative, friendly, non-intrusive. I highly recommend giving this...
