I arranged a family birthday celebration here for 14 guests. It was a bit of a challenge to get the event arranged because they had trouble emailing the contract, but we overcame that. I found out that unless you have over 50 guests, your seating will be in the main restaurant. With our latecomers (including the guest of honor) coming late, there were a few stressful moments when the staff told us that they had other reservations for the table. What a relief when they decided to open their event room for the other guests. We did appreciate the flexibility. The food was served family style and everything was absolutely mouth-wateringly delicious. In my opinion, everything was hands down, top notch. I really loved it. I had ordered two specialty dessert platters for the table. I saw one going to another table (thought it was ours at first) and was very excited about the beauty and presentation. Unfortunately, time went by and in spite of asking about it several times, it did not come. Sadly we had to remove it from our bill and leave since there were several families with children in our party. We did ask for the left over food to be wrapped up, but without persistence, that did not happen. Everyone I dealt with was professional and gracious, and the food was amazing, but according to my experience, persistence is the word of the day if you want everything to come together here.

I went with my immediate family to celebrate my mmh-something birthday. For customers of the sadly departed haHatzer, the comparison is almost inevitable. I actually found Medita better on many fronts - the layout of the place, which enables now for a separate entrance for groups and avoids placing of tables near the toilet area; the service, much more caring (the chef himself made the rounds of all the tables ) and relaxed, and the general atmosphere. The food was at least at par with haHatzer - the meats expertly cooked and grilled and the lovely aubergine cream and focaccia stood out as usual - and my impression was that the menu is now more varied and extensive. We had a lovely evening during a stormy winter night, and Medita made it very worthwhile to get soaking wet (not knowing there is covered parking in the same building). We are definitely planning return visits.
