Morduch restaurant in Jerusalem was opened in Mahane Yehuda marketplace in 1982 and has been serving up its own brand of home-cooked Mizrahi-style (oriental) food ever since. The restaurant’s flagship course is the kubeh soup, served in four different styles, including Kubeh Siska (ground meat fried with fat, lemon and garlic). Morduch is homey place with a light atmosphere, where the food is prepared right in front of the diner. Prices are at working-class level, around 35 ILS per dish. The restaurant also offers a diverse selection of homemade salads, stuffed vine leaves, fried kubeh and hummus.
