Great views of the city

The food and service was good but the view was great. We went there as part of a tour group and I am glad we went. If you are going to grab a quick bite for lunch, do it with a great view.

On a previous trip to Jerusalem, some of our friends went to this restaurant and raved over the views so much I felt like I’d missed a little gem. Soooo...my recent trip, I remembered this restaurant was near the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and searched it out for lunch on my visit inside the Old City. It wasn’t terribly difficult to find the entrance to a wonderfully enchanting view! You must ask for the top floor, which serves the a la’ carte menu (as opposed to the buffet), to be seated in this part of the restaurant. The top floor is surrounded by windows and has a railed balcony. The panoramic view boasts sightings of many important icons in the city from a beautiful, unique perspective: Mt. of Olives, Dome of the Rock, Church of the Holy Sepulcher just to mention a few. The balcony overlooks a little courtyard and red tiles roofs so it almost feels like you’re in an Italian piazza. The view is worth the ‘fast food’ version of a lunch of the typical shawarma or falafel. It wasn’t the best representation of the popular Mediterranean food fare, but, the view was worth it! The service was very friendly, as well, so while I would give the food 2 or 3 stars, the views and service get 5+. Worth the stop!!!!
