Nice views but that's about it...

Restaurant is below average, caters mostly to large organized groups and tours average food, below par service with many service issues not a place I would recommend for a dinner or lunch.

Excellent, recommended, what a view!

Awesome view of Jerusalem mountains. Ask to sit in the balcony. Call in advance to verify that the balcony is not fully used that day by visiting groups. Recommended visiting during warm weather! The place is kosher. Good and friendly service

Very Good

Pochonko is a very lovely meat restaurant with an even better view from its patio than the competitor across the street – Bar B’har (see my review) - but that’s where the comparisons end. Pochonko is a more upscale restaurant than Bar B’har (which caters to the sporting (hiking and biking) crowd). For a meat restaurant the prices are a little bit high (like at Bar B’har which is a dairy restaurant with higher than normal prices). Like at Bar B’har, you’re paying for the phenomenal view – which in my opinion IS worth it. The problem is my wife and I only hike on Fridays, our only day off for hiking, and we generally don’t eat meat on Friday afternoon after a hike because we always eat a big meat meal for our Friday night Sabbath meal. But from time to time we want a change of pace, so sometimes we opt to come here. Instead of ordering a large salad with cheese in it like we often get for our meal after a hike, this time we ordered the same as always large salad but with tasty chicken chunks in it. It was large enough for two and we both very much enjoyed it with a tasty lemonade. But we strongly felt that considering the location, the sporting atmosphere was indeed missing. For us Friday hikers, it was very lovely, it was very good, but we still prefer Bar B’har across the road, not for the food or the prices or the view, but for the atmosphere!

I've received recommendations before to try out this restaurant and was not disappointed. We ate in outside in a beautiful Sukkah enjoying the views and the food. Very good service, nice staff. I will gladly return another time.

Great food and service
