Had the coobeh soup with vegetables. I make it much better. the dough was a bit hard. I feel this place was probably the in spot decades ago for the working class...we also had hummus and ksitsot.

On our last trip to Israel a few years ago, we ate at their location off of Ben-Yehuda street. That location is now closed, but we were happy to know of the original restaurant in Shuk Machane Yehuda. This is a small restaurant and you order at the counter and they bring you the food. The food was delicious, just like Israeli home-cooking. We ordered the baked chicken and onions that came with rice and peas and carrots. The prices are very reasonable. They are so good that even a big group of adorable Israeli soldiers were eating there. They are located on a side street of the Shuk so you might have to ask someone where it is.
