We were part of the cruise group. Staff unpleasant, arguing with zero customer care Good salad bar, but the main dishes (fish and meat) looked like they were recycled from the previous day, nothing for eyes and mouth Nice sweets though Would not recommend
Ramat Rachel Restaurant
- Price $$$$
Ramat Rachel Hotel invites you to lunch in a glorious location at 850 meters above sea level, where the green hills of the Jerusalem pine forest meet the golden Judean Desert, just a short drive from the Old City and new city center.
The meal includes a delicious buffet salad bar with around 10 types of salads such as tehina, matboucha (spicy tomato dip), diced sweet potato, white cabbage salad, Moroccan carrot salad, beet salad, coleslaw, homemade hummus as well as eggplant salad with tehina. Guests can fill up their plate once with as much as they want. There is also a soup of the day that changes daily such as mushroom, vegetable, lentil, potato and corn soup. For the main dish, there is usually a choice of four dishes, which may be beef, chicken, schnitzel, fish, turkey and something vegetarian. The main dish comes with two hot side dishes, usually a choice between rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes and beans. Guests that order an additional two side dishes get a meat dish included. Guests also get to pick a dessert from a mouth-watering selection that changes daily and includes seasonal fruit, baklava, watermelon and a variety of cakes.
Ramat Rachel Restaurant is kosher and lunch is not served at the restaurant on Saturday.

Great selection (the fish was tasty) , moved quickly through the choices and check-out. Reasonably priced and plenty of seating - larger tables nicely accommodated our group. What's nice about this place is that it has a well-stocked gift shop/convenience store - probably for the hotel patrons. There was also a very nice Israeli products store - Dead Sea products, lovely jewelry pieces - very nice. If you travel then you'll appreciate this - the restrooms were numerous and immaculate! There wasn't much time on this trip, but I did have a short, short walk around the premises - very pretty and nicely maintained.
LessCame here hungry after a long morning of touring and was grateful for the clean and comfortable tables and refreshing meal. Choice of food and drink were very good. I got beef stew and my wife got a fried chicken breast filet - both with rice. Portions were full and tasty, if a bit...
