My two guests wanted to eat at Ruladin at Mamilla Str. They initially wanted a take away but when seeing a free table choose to stay. And then a young man who introduced himself as a Shift Manager, came to the table and requested them to leave, as they have a take away. I tried to explain that we could not know that there are limitations, and that my guests are leaving in a minute. Nothing helped. His tone was so hostile that the guests felt tremendously uncomfortable. Finally, he decided to be nicier and suggested them to move and sit outside. Obviously my guests choose to drop the food and leave, as this was absolutely insulting

Roladin is a national cafe chain, best known for its baked goods--especially 'sufganiyot' (donuts Israeli-style) around our Chanukah holiday. We had Friday-morning breakfast at their Mamilla Mall location--just outside the Old City's Jaffa Gate. We were seated promptly, and a pleasant young man named Gil came to take our orders. We were both having one of their standard breakfasts--more and varied food that was a lot for just two people--but we forced ourselves. Everything was served per our request--meal first; coffee after. It was all attractive and tasty. And all with an unsurpassed view of Jerusalem's Old City walls, and great service by Gil. Will return--highly recommended.
