MoreI used to love going to this kosher meat restaurant in Jerusalem. The portions were lavish and the service good. The first couple of times I went, I was with UJA missions. Recently, I went to the restaurant with my family. Although most of the tables were nicely set with table cloths and place settings, we were ushered to a plain uncovered table. Strike 1. Then, we ordered from the price fixe menu. The item I wanted was not available and I was recommended to choose something from the higher priced menu. Strike 2. The price fixe menu was supposed to include soup. The waiter told me the menu was wrong. Strike 3. The price fixe menu was also supposed to include lemonade and a dessert beverage. None was offered. I knew they had the lemonade because the wait staff continued to set up the empty banquet tables with lots of drinks. Strike 3. The redeeming feature was that lots of meses were brought to the table and they were delicious. So was the hot pita bread and the main course. So, the food that was served was as good as I remembered it. The arrangements, however, were inadequate. Much as I liked the food, the next time I am in Jerusalem, I'll find other restaurants to frequent.
