Food was decent and authentic. Wait staff were very enthusiastic. Environment was cool. Somewhere between a 3.5 and a 4 star experience.

Upon a recommendation, we had dinner at the Armenian Tavern before attending the light show at The Tower of David. Not familiar with Armenian food, we decided to try some of their specialties. Boy were we pleased. The food was very good. While they also had typical dishes we were pleased to try the unusual. Service was very good and the prices are reasonable. Try if you are in the area.

There is 2 places called Armenian tavern. One, rather small, close to Jaffa gate and another one, a hundred yard away in the Armenian quarter, which could nicely accomodated our party of 130+ people. Nice meze to start, followed by some kebabs and rice. With such a large group, the idea was not to seek for gastronomy but it was good nevertheless. and large enough so we can enjoy a decent corporate evening.
