Interesting, opulent, a bit fusty place
TripAdvisor RatingReviewed 4 days ago

Interesting place in Armenian Quarter. Ordered a set of starters - some excellent, other good or average, a bit dry. Inside it is opulently, warm, maybe a bit fusty. If I were the next time in Jerusalem, I'd definitely try the grill selection. The prices quite affordable as for israeli standards.

Came in to get a light meal and were told after we ordered that if we didn’t order more food we would have to leave. We were told our order of “60 sheckels was too little and we would need to order at least 70 sheckels.” We had both ordered food—vegetable soup and back lava and each ordered a tea, but apparently that wasn’t good enough. I don’t believe a place that treats customers this way deserves business and so we left.

Feast for the eyes

A feast for the eyes would be the best way to describe this place. We enjoyed tasty food surrounded by pearl - embossed mirrors and China cabinets displaying brass jewellery in a dim lighted Crusader - era building. The kindness of the staff is just the icing on the cake.
