Well that was delicious

Excellent food!

We ordered takeout from Tommy's, chicken sandwiches, and I have to say it was excellent! We ordered takeout from Tommy's, chicken sandwiches, and I have to say it was excellent! The meat (chicken breast) was not dry, which is often the case elsewhere, perfectly seasoned, and the garlic mayo and chimichuri we ordered with it was excellent. You could tell it was made with fresh ingredients, it was the best garlic mayo I´ve ever had, and I love that stuff! A bit disappointed that they were out of the sweet potato fries though.... The food did take an hour to arrive at our door, but I wont hold that against them. It was dinner time and they were probably very busy! Oh and I should add that they do offer vegetarian food as well!

Tommy's is an overpriced burger joint in Shaarei Chesed. It seems to cater to Americans. They messed up my order which I ordered in both Hebrew and English to be sure that both were the same and reviewed the order with the cashier who was very dismissive and works at his own pace and interest level. It is hard to mess up an order as bad as they did. Due to my being in a rush I couldn't check the order until I got home and due to their register being out of paper they couldn't supply me with a receipt. The dressing I ordered for my wife and her side dish were not given to us. My toppings were missing as well. My side order for placing a "meal portion" was also not given to me. The charges were off by 10 shekel. When I called them to relay the mistakes in the order, it was determined that it was my fault and I did not order what I ordered. They then hung up. When I called back they told me that I made mistakes and that I had not placed my order correctly. So far as their accounting being off... I must be mistaken again. The food I did receive was OK, nothing to write home about but not terrible either, the portion size was decent. So if my experience was so bad why did I rate Tommy's as 2 stars? Because they are Israeli's trying to run an American style joint. While in my books they fail miserably, nonetheless I am proud that they at least tried. So for all the people expecting decent service and to get what you pay for: YOU WON'T. They think they know everything and so far as I can tell have NEVER in their lives EVER been wrong. God bless and please for your own sakes expand your horizons and get some authentic Israeli cuisine. If you want Israeli attitude get good food not Tommy's Israelis masquerading as American style cuisine while paying thru the nose for it. In summary, go elsewhere. The food is probably better elsewhere and Israeli's are self righteous know-it-alls everywhere you meet them so you won't be missing out on these particular Israelis because THEY ARE EVERYWHERE.
