Yad Ben-Zvi: tours and activities

Join Yad Ben-Zvi for a variety of experiential and educational activities.

Yad Ben-Zvi is one of the leading cultural and research institutions in Israel that has been active since 1969, and proudly bears the name of the second president of the State of Israel. The four main functions of this institution are the study of the history of the Land of Israel, the study of Jerusalem, and the establishment of the Israeli people's affinity to it, and the study of the Israeli communities in the East.

In the house of President Ben-Zvi there are research institutions, a library and a publishing house where dozens of books and periodicals are published. Alongside them are the Center for Land of Israel Studies, which offers the public dozens of courses and conferences around the country, and the Central School for Jerusalem Studies named after Haim Kobarsky, where various activities are organized for the general public, the education system and the army, as well as training for tour guides.

The second president Yitzhak Ben-Zvi received his many guests, heads of state and ordinary people in a modest shack in the heart of the Rehavia neighborhood. While the masses of immigrants live in shacks and tents across the country, it is not appropriate for the president to sit in a fancy palace - that's what Yitzhak Ben-Zvi argued. Yad Yitzhak ben-Zvi works today in this modest hut.  Today, events, conferences and lectures are held in the President's compound and it is open for visits to the general public.
