Overview of the Free Tour by Abraham Hostel

The Free departs at 11.00 am and 2.00 pm daily. The 2-hours long tour of the major sites of Jerusalem’s Old City will get you familiar with one of the most prominent historical sites.

These streets embody the most known biblical event, notable sites that are sacred for the three major religions, as well as unique cultural attractions you won't find anywhere else. The tour starts off at the entrance to the Old City, next to the plaza by the Jaffa Gate. Your Abraham Tours guide will await you there. You’ll walk through cobble-stoned alleyways filled with ancient holiness and get to experience the unforgettable atmosphere of the sites that have special meaning to all cultures, divided into 4 major ones by their designated quarters - Jewish, Christian, Muslim, and Armenia. Among the most impressive sites, you’ll get to see are the Dome of the Rock, Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Western Wall, and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Whichever religious beliefs you hold, or even if you have none - the sacredness and historical value of Jerusalem’s Old City will leave you astonished. The Tour is free of charge - but you may tip your guide as a gratitude gesture.

Important Information

The local weather may be unusual for some tourists, so make sure to have sunscreen, a sun hat, enough drinking water, and some snacks. Please mind the religious nature of some of the sites, so make sure to be dressed accordingly - covered knees and arms. This concerns both men and women. It is also recommended to have a shawl or kind of scarf, just in case.
