Set against the backdrop of Jerusalem’s magnificent views and streets filled with history, the Jerusalem Marathon is truly one of the most unique marathons in the world. The Jerusalem Marathon is held annually in March. The first complete Jerusalem Marathon was held in 2011. This year the marathon will be held Friday, March 21, 2025. The Jerusalem marathon takes place at the beginning of the spring season Jerusalem, bringing with it ideal conditions for outdoor sports. Runners will relish the challenging run, as well as the breathtaking views and many of the city’s cultural spots along the routes.

Marathon-Day Events Along the routes
All participants, residents, and guests can look forward to a festive atmosphere on the day of the marathon – Spectators will have the opportunity to attend a range of small events along with the marathon’s courses, including sporting activities and performances. One of the stations will allow runners to engrave their personal achievements on custom-made medals.
At Sacher Park Jerusalem Marathon welcomes everyone to a sports fair and festival. Runners and spectators will enjoy stretching exercises, aerobics, Zumba, and more, with Israel's best fitness instructors. The festival will also feature drumming bands and street artists, and of course, tons of discounts on the leading sports brands in the world.
