Having so many menu items of Indian Specials especially Curry items we had delicious food and good services to our satisfaction. There was enough ambiance and good hospitality.

This is the only Indian restaurant in Jerusalem, don't believe the claims there are another two on the internet. There aren't. Not kosher, which is disappointing but other than that it is a well equipped restaurant with a good range of food options. Portions are generous. Service is standard for Israel, begrudgingly given (I've seen checkout workers holding up queues because they were texting on their phones) but eventually forthcoming. The food is good. Veggie and vegan options are available. This is not artisan stuff but it is a curry and if you just want a damn curry with rice and some bhajis, you'll get that here. Food is expensive so we didn't go again but in the range of general Israeli restaurants.

We have been craving Indian food and the food at Kohinoor Indian did not disappoint. The butter chicken was VERY good however it does not come with naan or rice, you have to choose what you prefer a la carte. The vegetable Thali cost 45NIS/$11.70 USD and I would say that this is a reasonable price for the food offered that included naan bread, raita, pakoda, mix vegetable curry, tadka dal, aloo jeera, rice and a small dessert. NOTE: On-line search shows that Kohinoor opens at 11:00 this is not accurate as they open at 12:30. We arrived when they first opened and some of the tables were not cleaned from the night before...this caused the Waitress to be spraying Windex on them and cleaning them while we were seated. The Windex smelled and took away from what we had hoped would have been a relaxing atmosphere.
