I came two evenings, a Friday and a Saturday. The service was good and the staff were helpful. The food was also good. I asked for traditionally Israeli food on my first visit and was told Schnitzel! Which I didn't order, because I can that any time when I am home. My second visit I had pizza, which was lovely. The only negative was that as the sun went down the wind, that had been cooling during the day felt cold. On my second visit, I asked to sit inside, but they didn't have space for one person inside. So I ate quickly outside.

The cafe is warm and homey, very cheery and lively. We went as a large group of 30 - the bread was great, we enjoyed the schnitzel/burgers etc and tall jars of refreshing lemonade. Its a lively, happy active place where we had a satisfying meal and engaging conversation. A great place to go...

As a student in Jerusalem it is hard to find a coffee shop to study in, as well as enjoy the food. When going to Landwer with friends to study for a final, we enjoyed a delicious variety of food from delicious pastries to crispy schnitzel. It is located in a great location in the center of Jerusalem and can be enjoyed not only by us students but the whole family! I would highly recommend eating at Landwer when coming to Jerusalem! This is a culinary experience along the old train tracks of Jerusalem that you cannot miss out on!
